Market Characteristics

We engineer innovative Hydronic solutions to optimise indoor climate comfort and energy efficiency of waterborne heating & cooling systems.

40% of the world’s energy consumption is used in buildings. 50% of this is in HVAC (Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning) systems alone*. Through optimising the Hydronic system, our solutions reduce energy consumption by 20-30% whilst also delivering the required indoor climate comfort for building owners and building users across the world.

Our Indoor Climate business combines unrivalled system knowledge with the most innovative Hydronic technology to engineer bespoke, energy efficient solutions for all of our global partners; HVAC designers, consultants, contractors & commissioning agents.

We focus on the core technologies involved in the precise control of the waterborne system; Hydronic pressurisation, balancing and control valves and thermostatic control devices.

Engineering Advantage

We engineer advantage for our customers in 3 main ways:

  • Through our system knowledge, software and design tools we are able to reduce up front installation costs by optimising the design of the system
  • Through our practical system experience and troubleshooting capability we are able to reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs across the life cycle of the building
  • Through our total system solutions we are able to help enhance the value of the final building by meeting the energy efficiency demands

Knowledge & Experience

Our leading Hydronic knowledge differentiates us and we invest heavily in this competence through our global Hydronic College. This comprehensive, continuous training centre allows us to recruit and retain the very best engineers.

Through our external seminar programme, with more than 60,000 customers trained every year we are able to convert market leading Hydronic knowledge into real customer value. This customer intimacy also allows us to develop cutting edge tools such as the industry’s first Wireless Measuring and Diagnostics TA Scope, which allows for even greater accuracy in system measurability and troubleshooting.

Global Reach

We operate in more than 50 countries and employ over 1,800 people. We have Hydronic specialists in every region ensuring the expertise is local to meet our customers’ local needs. Our global teams are supported by the Hydronic College with over 200 Associates worldwide and over 50 ‘Hydronic Gurus’, experts at the very highest level of our area of focus.
