Severe Service

Roy Twite was appointed to the Board in February 2007. During his career with IMI, Roy has held a number of senior roles in all five of IMI's platform businesses.  In 2011, he retained responsibility for Fluid Power, whilst accepting the additional management accountability for the Severe Service business. Roy joined IMI on the Graduate Engineering scheme in 1988 and from 2001 Roy’s career with IMI progressed as he held senior management roles including Managing Director of IMI Norgren UK (2001), President of IMI Indoor Climate (2004) and President of Retail Dispense (2007). Roy gained his Masters degree from Cambridge University in 1998.

Alberto joined Orton in 1998 as VP Sales & Marketing. In 2004 he assumed the position of Orton General Manager and in 2005 the position of Managing Director of the company. Orton became part of the IMI Group as part of the Truflo acquisition in 2006. In March 2010 Alberto was also appointed as Managing Director of Truflo Rona Ball Valve (IMI Severe Service) Belgium factory. Prior to IMI Severe Service, Alberto worked at Vanessa Valve (Tyco Group).

Ernesto is currently Managing Director of STI, the actuation & controls brand of IMI Severe Service. He joined IMI in 2002 following the acquisition of STI where he had been appointed to the board in 1994. Former positions include various management roles in Italian and international valve companies. He has also been a Board member of the Italian Association for Instrumentation Industries and President of Italian Association for Instrumentation.

Joined Z&J in 1990 as Project manager for ERP implementation, created team for after sales purposes 1993, Managing Director of Z&J since 1998. Ekkehard has more than 30 years of experience in different positions with German valve industry.

Peter joined IMI in 2003 and has held a series of commercial and general management roles before leading the turnaround of Norgren’s Fluid Automation Systems business in Switzerland and being appointed Managing Director of Norgren’s European Fluid Controls businesses. In August 2011, Peter moved to the Severe Service division as President of the Nuclear business. Prior to joining IMI, Peter was a general manager for ABB in the Benelux and holds a degree in electrical engineering.

Jackie started with the IMI Nuclear business in 2008 within a sales leadership role for the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining IMI, he gained many years' experience in the process engineering field with Magnetrol, Sunnyland and Pepperl Fuchs, and has a degree in Automation Control, and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis in the USA.
